How do you tel a shy guy you like him?

Okay so I've known this guy for Years, We have been flirting with each other for years. But nether one of us has admitted to liking each other. He's really shy and rarely approaches anyone. I catch him starring at me all the time. I want to tell him I like him, But I think it would be awkward to tell him strait up. So I kind of need an indirect approach, like not by e-mail or text or anything. I need some creative unusual way to tell him so it won't be as awkward. Please help! Thanks!
