Ideas for minecraft spawn?

Does anyone have any original, cool ideas for something in minecraft? The owner of the server i play on is hosting a contest for best spawn point. There aren't any rules really, but i have to make room for our obsidian portals to the shopping center and nether. I was thinking a dome like temple or a hotel. Any ideas?
